In the Name of God Amen

I Thomas Rymell of the parish of St Ann in the Liberty of Westminster in the county of Middlesex, cabinet maker being under some present indisposition of body (but praise be to God) of disposing mind and memory do make and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say).  First and principally I commit my Soul unto Almighty God my heavenly father in hopes of eternal life and salvation through the above merits and satisfaction of Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour my body I commit to the earth to have decent Christian burial at the direction of my Executrix hereunder named and as for the disposition of my worldy goods, chattels and estate I give, will, order and appoint the same in such manner as hereafter is mentioned viz Imprimis I give, order and appoint to be paid unto Joanna, my wife, the sum of one hundred pounds to be raised and paid by and out of my debts owing at the time of my decease in discharge of a Bond which I gave unto or fer her life before marriage for payment of the sum.  Also I do Will, order and appoint her, my said wife, to raise and pay out of my debts to me owing at my decease the further sum of one hundred pounds to pay off and discharge the like sum for which a mortgage has been made of a house that was hers before our marriage and that then she shall have the said house to herself.  Also I further give, Will and appoint the she, the said Joanna, my wife, shall and may have, take and enjoy to herself all the stock of sale, drink and other drink that shall be in her cellars at the time of my decease.  Item I give unto my daughter, Joanna Rymell, the sum of one hundred pounds to be raised and paid out of my debts due at my decease unto her my said daughter when and so soon as she shall have attained to the age of one and twenty years or be married (which shall first happen).  Also I give unto my said daughter my silver tankard.  And I do commit the care and tuition of my said daughter unto the said Joanna my wife until such her age or marriage aforesaid.  Item I give and bequeath unto my son Thomas Rymell when he shall have attained the age of twenty four years the lease of my dwelling house in Frith Street in the said parish of Saint Ann in Westminster and all the stock of trading, goods and household goods therein (except a bed and furniture for one room which I give to my wife).  And my Will is that until such his age my said wife and son shall (with the advice of my friends hereafter named) carry on the said trade and that the near profits thereby arising shall be for the good, benefit and better maintenance of her my said wife and of my said son and daughter and for the discharge of the rent of the said house and parish intyed and that my said son shall at his age aforesaid thereout give and pay unto his said sister in goods or money the further sum of twenty pounds.  And I do desire and appoint my cousin Mr John Bees and my good friend Mr George Wright to be advising, aiding and assisting unto my said wife and son in the management of the said trade and that my said son be advised by them therein and for such their care and pains I give unto each of them my said cousin and friend five guineas apiece.  The rest and residue of all my goods, chattels, debts and estate whatsoever (after my just debts, legacies and sums of money aforesaid shall be first raised and paid) I give unto my said son Thomas Rymell at his age aforesaid.  But in case my said son before that age or my said daughter before her said age or marriage shall happen to dye the legacies and portion of him or her so dying shall go unto the survivor of them, his or her executors, administrators and assigns.   And I do ordain and appoint my said wife Joanna Rymell to be the sole executrix of this my Will and my said cousin Bees and the said Mr Wright to be the overseers thereof and advising and assisting to my said wife in the due execution thereof.  Lastly I hereby revoke and make null all former Wills by me made and declare this to be my last Will.  In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the eleventh day of July Anno domini 1707 : and in the sixth year of the reign of our sovereign Lady Ann by the grace of God, Queen of Great Britain and Ireland, defender of the faith.  Thomas Rymell.  Sealed, signed & published and declared by the said testator for and as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in the presence of the said testator have subscribed our names as witnesses hereunto (these words [Except a bed and furniture for one room which I give to my wife] being first interlined).  John Pocock, Elizabeth Moss, Ste: Mills Serv.  at Mr Bees without Newgate.
