In the name of God Amen: I Robert Rymell of the parish of St Botolph, Aldersgate, carpenter, joiner and undertaker being of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, thanks be to God for the same. But, considering the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death do for the disposal of such worldly estate as it hath pleased or shall please God to bestow upon me make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament of and combining the same as follows (that is to say). I will and direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be in the fist place fully paid and satisfied. And as to all and every my goods and chattels, estate and effects, real and personal whatsoever and wheresover of what nature, kind or quality soever which I now own or of the time of my death shall or may be in any wise seized, possessed of, invested in or unto I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof in manner following. First I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Elizabeth Rymell all my worldly estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever after all my just debts are paid and discharged and after such payment and discharge of my just debts is made I give and bequeath to my eldest son Robert Rymell and also to my daughter Ann Rymell the half of the profits more or less that may arise and become due of that estate now in my possession in Ironmonger Row in the parish of St Lukes in Old Street, London to be equally divided between them the other half I give and bequeath to my loving wife Elizabeth Rymell for her own use and benefit. And I do hereby ordain .. make and appoint my loving wife Elizabeth Rymell sole executrix of this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all former will or wills by me before made and do hereby declare this to be my last will and testament. This Will was proved at London the tenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty nine before the worshipful George Harris doctor of laws surrogate of the right worshipful George Hay also doctor of laws master keeper or commissary of the prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of Elizabeth Rymell, widow, the relict of the deceased and sole executrix named in the said will to whom administration was granted of all and singular the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased she having first been sworn duly to administer
