7th April 1823
This is my
last Will and Testament.I give and bequeath to my dear wife
Sophia Rimell all my household furniture, plate, linen and
pictures. One hundred pounds to my mother Ann Rimell to be paid
as soon as convenient after my death. I also appoint my brother
Henry Rimell and John Shipley my Executors. I also direct my said
Executors to dispose of all property as soon after my death as
they shall think proper. The proceeds I also direct to be
invested in the English funds in the joint names of my
said Executors Henry Rimell, John Shipley and Sophia
Rimell for the use and benefit of my said wife Sophia Rimell for
the time of her natural life and after her death. I also direct
one hundred pounds to be given my sister Ann Smith and the
residue I direct be given to the children of William and Sarah
Rimell and the children of Henry and Esther Rimell, share and
share alike. I direct Mourning Rings to be given to Henry Rimell,
William Newman, John Shipley, William Bartlett, Susannah Spinks.

Proved at London 7th April 1823 before the Worshipful William Adams, Doctor of laws and Surrogate by the oath of Henry Rimell the brother one of the Executors to whom Administration was granted having been first avow duly to administer power reserved to John Shipley the other Executor
